As fine wine lovers, the Chemist family longed for the perfect wine barrels to age the flagship American gin. The idea was clear, but the resource for spent wine barrels was obvious - the Biltmore Estate Winery.

This unique spirit was crafted to capture the timeless elegance of the Biltmore Estate in bloom. We began with our signature citrus forward American Gin, aged it to refinement in Biltmore merlot wine barrels, then carefully finished it on a bouquet of hand picked petals from the Estate's own Rose Gardens. A subtly scarlet spirit, it bloomed from the barrels with a smooth sophistication. On the palate dances sweet nuances of pink & white rose, lemon cream, marzipan, tart raspberry, and toasted oak -- finishing effortlessly with a mouthfeel that is both delicately fruity and velvety smooth. It's a rare and limited spirit as roses do not bloom hurriedly; for beauty, like any masterpiece, takes time to blossom.

About Chemist Spirits
Chemist® Spirits made its grand entrance onto Asheville’s hospitality scene in the summer of 2018, offering North Carolina a fully operational distillery and on-site bar, Antidote. At its very core, Chemist Spirits was created to honor the real-life chemists and pharmacists who kept distilling alive during America’s ignoble experiment in prohibition.
Located in the heart of brewing in North Carolina, Chemist produces Gin, Whiskey and a variety of small-batch spirits utilizing local botanicals and working with pioneering tastemakers in the food and beverage scene.
